Nail Design: Cat Claw.

Hope you're all recovering well from last night's halloween activities! 

Here's a quick nail design inspired by cat claws (...kind of) 

I thought this would be sort of appropriate, since it was halloween yesterday. 

For this nail design you need clear and black nail polish as well as a very thin brush.

I started with one coat of the clear polish (you could also use a color as a base).

Once that's dry, draw very thin triangles in the middle of the nail using the brush. 

Finish the look with another coat of the clear nail polish. 

Done! 

(Nothing too crazy, I know, but I like the simplicity and I think it makes the nails appear longer)

REVLON Colorburst Matte Balm.

Haven't posted something beauty related in ages, so here you go. 

After I heard only good things from the bloggers I read and watch 

about the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms I thought I'd give them a go 

and bought my first one when I was in Strasbourg.

They are a lot like the clinique chubby sticks (I guess, because I have never tried one). 

It applies very smoothly and creamy but then once it's dry it stays on for a good 5-6 hours. 

Revlon also does similar ones that are shiny, but I prefer matte lip products anyways. 

Another thing that I was surprised by, is that the balm is kind of tingly on the lips and has a slight peppermint scent to it. 

So not only does it give you a beautiful color, but it also gives you full lips! 

Another plus is, that it does not dry out your lips, like some matte products do. 

After I was absolutely amazed by the product I bought another shade as I was in Strasbourg again (they don't sell Revlon in Germany).

I now own the shade 245 AUDACIOUS (picture 1&2) and 240 STRIKING (picture 3&4).

Especially 'striking' is a super nice everyday red tone, not too orange or blue. 

I get compliments every time I wear it. 

Nail Design: Evil Eye.

This is a fun nail design that I do from time to time. 

The making itself might be a bit time consuming, because it takes a few steps that each have to dry before the next one, but once it's on, it stays on for quite a while.

I have to say the idea isn't mine. I got it from somewhere off the inter web some time ago...can't remember where that was. 

Start off with a clear base coat (you could also use a color as a base, if you'd like) and then apply white dots in the center of each nail. I used an esprit nail care nail polish and essie's blanc.

For step two you basically drop a little bit of color on top of the white dot. I like this light blue best (fron essence, 73 REPLAY), but you could use any color you like.

And to finish it up choose a black nail polish, I used one from kiko, and draw in pupils and eyelashes. A toothpick comes in handy to do that.

There clearly was a lot of movement in this post, that's because I just discovered how to create gifs. 

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty.

Treated myself with this LUSH face mask. 

It is actually the first ever product I bought from lush, but definitely not the last! 

This mask is totally handmade, vegan and eco-friendly. 

Did you know that the small particles in many (not to say in most) face- and body-scrubs that you buy in your usual drugstore are actually made of polyethylene (plastic, so to say)?

And sooner or later all those little pieces of plastic will swim in the sea joining all the tons of plastic that is there already. 

Well the particles is lush's face mask are made of crushed beans. 

The consistency makes it pretty easy to put on because it's not too runny or stiff. 

Also it smells amazing of mint and honey. 

I let it stay on for about 15 to 20 minutes and then rubbed it in with some warm water, just like you would use a cleaning scrub. 

The mint in the formula enhances your blood circulation which makes the skin glow 

and opens the skin cells. 

While taking the mask of the crushed beans help clean all your pores and remove dead skin. 

It left my skin feeling vitalized and incredibly soft(due to the honey), I love it.
